At the Radcliffe Institute, Euben
will work on a book that analyzes how Muslim and Western political
thinkers and travelers past and present have used comparisons with a
panoply of peoples, practices, and cultures to reflect upon and
reach conclusions about human nature, gender, citizenship, and the
wisdom required to rule justly.

Before joining the Wellesley College
faculty in 1997, Professor Euben was an assistant professor in the
Department of Government and International Studies at the University
of South Carolina, Columbia, and worked as a journalist in western
Massachusetts.

At Wellesley, she regularly teaches a
range of courses in political theory, feminist theory and Islamic
political thought.
